About

The Melrose Center is a thriving non profit Community and Lake Area Welcome Center that serves Melrose and beyond. We offer a delicious menu of freshly prepared breakfast and lunch all day, locally roasted coffee and lattes. We are open Tuesday through Friday 8:00am till 1:00pm and Saturdays 8:30am till 1:30pm. We have live, local, free music Thursdays and Saturdays 11:00am till 1:00pm, and on first and third Friday evenings starting at 5:00pm. Every Wednesday from 10:30 till 1:00 we have free dulcimer group lessons, with a big, open jam on the last Wednesday of every month. Bridge Club is on Tuesday mornings at 8:45am. Our Art Gallery/Gift Shop is full of local artists goods, such as pottery, greeting cards, artwork, unique lighting, hand crocheted goods and so much more that you have to see for yourself. Our resident artist is local Linda Koreny. Through her incredible artwork, she has documented many memorable and historic sites of Melrose. As a service to the community we provide free health events to check A1C, cholesterol and blood pressure and free autism screening. We are also a rental venue to hold your next celebration or meeting. Check out our website (the-melrose-center.org) for more fun activities, like us on Facebook at themelrosecenter. We are located at 307 State Road 26, Melrose and our phone number is 352-475-1326.
